Hey JaySkillz this is mainly for u I saw ur avatar where u were holdin that AK, but if anyone wanna c sumthin badass I made a thread at my site with pics of this AK-47 I built when I was 14 years old. It was made entirely out of sheet metal, scrap, wood and other parts. Not only is it a perfect replica in size, shape, look, etc, but also i made it so it can shoot wooden bullets with internal spring mechanisms n ****. I just found it in the basement the other day in a box, forgot I even had it, so I took some pics of it check em out
the receiver is a routered out wooden block plated with sheet metal on the outside. The wooden grips and stocks were hand-done and stained to look old, the metal parts are all dented n scratched n banged up just from time n bein worked on n shuffled around in the basement. So sorta got its own used, aged look all on its own. If ur wondering how I figured out how to make it working and shoot, just consider this. When I was 12-14 years old I constructed a Lego AK-47 over the course of two years tht was also a perfect replica, matching the size and shape of the real thing exactly, down to the smallest Lego block possible. The Lego magazine held ten rounds which were Lego cylinders with small springs inside which would fire out Lego antenas as bullets. Pop in the clip, the magazine catch tab would lock it in place. Pull back the bolt, it would lock the internal Lego firing pin and carrier at the back. Pull the trigger, which was a 2 piece rotating mechanism, making a 1/2 inch trigger pull give an opposite rotating sear a 2x movement, which would release the firing pin. A rubber band would pull the pin forward, which would tap into the back of the lego cartridge. The tap would push the antena out of the cartridge enough that it would come loose and the spring would shoot it out the barrel. As the firing pin keeps moving forward, a diagonal piece mounted sideways on the bolt carrier would slide into the back of the empty cartridge and eject it out the side of the gun. It took two years to complete cuz I had to work on it off and on in spurts, cuz when I would work on it for several weeks it would give me massive headaches in overcoming the sheer complexity of the design. One day, after leaving it aside in multiple sections, I had a sleepover with some friends, one of which went upstairs to use all my Lego to build some bullshyt, and completely dissassembled the receiver of my AK. I never thought once about tryin to rebuild it after that.
