This is where you start off. Looking at the radar at the top-right corner, you can see that there's a terrorist over by point Charlie. You'll also notice at the bottom of the screen a sort of explosion-like icon. That's the "Takedown" option, which is quite handy.
Detail, detail, detail. Pictures of the area by the communication tent would be nice, too.
These are some pictures of the village, and you can see the great amount of detail. Also, take a look at left side picture, then look closely at the big tree towards the right side of the picture. You'll notice that the trees behind are actually appearing in front of the large tree. I think it'd be nice if they could fix that.
R.I.P. Boomer and the pilot.
Edit 2:
Added something about the M3 to the bugs/kinks section.
Added pictures of some of the new weapons, courtesy of sniper6760.

M16 M16 is the U.S. military designation for a family of rifles derived from the ArmaLiteAR-15 and further developed by Colt. It is an assault rifle which fires NATO standard 5.56 mmammunition. It has been the primary infantry rifle of the United States military since 1967, is in use by 15 NATO countries, and has been the most produced firearm in its caliber.
M4A1 The M4 Carbine is a family of firearms tracing its lineage back to earlier carbine versions of the M16, all based on the original AR-15 made by ArmaLite.
The weapon is a shorter and lighter version of the M16A2assault rifle, achieving 80% parts commonality with the M16A2. The M4 has selective fire options including semi-automatic and three-round burst (like the M16A2), while the M4A1 has a "full auto" option in place of the three-round burst. The M4A1 is sometimes also found with a heavier barrel to withstand heat from sustained fully-automatic fire.
M8 The XM8 is the project name for a lightweight assault rifle system that was under development by the United States Army from the late 1990s to early 2000s. The Army worked with the small arms manufacturer Heckler & Koch (H&K) to develop the system to its requirements in the aftermath of the OICW contract, for which H&K had been a subcontractor to ATK. Although there were high hopes that the XM8 would become the Army's new standard infantry rifle, the project was put on hold in mid 2005, and was formally cancelled on October 31, 2005.
General Dynamics was involved in latter stages and H&K had plans to produce the rifle at a plant in Georgia. H&K was British owned at the start of the project, but was later bought back by a group of German investors. Engineering work was done at facilties in the United States and Germany.
IW-80 A2 SA80 (Small Arms for the 1980s) is a family of related arms that include the British Armed Forces's standard combat rifle. It is of the bullpup configuration. Originally designed and manufactured by the Enfield Royal Small Arms Factory (now BAE Systems Land Systems Munitions & Ordnance), they were introduced into service in 1985 and are likely to remain the primary infantry weapon in British use until 2015.
HK36 The G36 (company designation, Bundeswehr designation Gewehr G36) is an assault rifle designed in the early 1990s and manufactured in Germany by Heckler & Koch. It is the service rifle of the German Armed Forces. A family of variants exists many of which have been adopted by police or military forces.
M60E3 In the U.S. military, the M60 has largely been replaced by various versions of the M240 as a medium machine gun, and by the M249 SAW as a squad automatic weapon. However, it remains in use in every branch, as well as some other countries (another major user was Australia); it continues to be manufactured into the 21st century.
Here is a list of weapons from Socom 3 which will be available. Combined Assault will also feature new weapons which will be announced at a later time.
Seals Vehicles ALSV The advanced Light Strike Vehicle is a custom built dune buggy that carries four and sports a M2HB .50 caliber machine gun on a 360 degree turret. It strikes hard and fast, but because it has no armor, hit and run tactics are preferred to slugging it out with the heavy weapons.
M1045 Another modification of the M998, the M1045 mounts a TOW missle launcher in place of the usual M2HB in the turret on top of the vehicle. While not as effective against enemy infantry, this is the perfect tank killer as long as it stays out of the tanks sights.
M1025 This modification of the M998 trades armor for additional turret mounts at each of the passesgner positions in addition to the standard M2HB at the main turret position, resulting in a vehicle litterally bristling with weapons. However, its lack of armor makes it vulnerable to enemy fire.
Tanks & Boats Bradley Fighting Vehicle The Bradley is a light armored fighting vehicle capable of carrying a six man infantry squad to critical points on the battlefield. Its enormous supply of weaponry makes it a formidable foe, helping to destroy enemy vehicles and providing fire support for cover, though it also makes the vehicle quite deadly when hit.
T-72 The T-72 remains a front line battle tank in use around the world. It combines thick armor with a large 125mm cannon to overcome anything that stands in its way. Like other tanks, its armor is lighter the rear.
ZSU Developed by the Soviet Union, the ZSU or "anti-aircraft self propelled system" is an extremely dangerous weapons system which is hard to detect. The light armor of this vehicle makes it vulnerable to enemy fire, though its gun dish radar allows for superior target tracking and its accuracy and high rate of fire is a major threat to low altitude aircraft.
Technical Speedboat A lightweight single-motor six seater speedboat with very little in terms of cover, but good ordinance in the shape of front and year mounted machine guns. Generally favored by enemy forces.
SOC-R An extremely fast mover across marshy waters, the SOC-R is driven from the center. The two front mounted machine guns are very effective weapons, boasting 20 clips of 350 rounds each; use them to pick off enemy's on the shore or destroy enemy boats. It also comes with a rear mounted missile launcher.
CRCC CRRC stands for Combat Rapid Raiding Craft, but to the untrained eye it looks like a rubber dinghy! Actually much more sophisticated, this lightweight inflatable craft can be easily assembled for rapid deployment and extraction of troops. Seating up to 12 people, its powered by twin or single shaft outboard motors. It has no ordinance, as it's primary purpose it troop transport.
Terrorists Vehicles URAL Troop Carrier URAL trucks are often used by the enemy to move their troops and equipment around. They are slow and unwieldy, and generally don't have any ordinance, but can still be deadly if you run down several opponents at a time.
URAL Cargo The URAL Cargo Truck is a variant of the Troop Carrier used to haul large amounts of supplies.
Eurovan Civilian bus like transport van common in Eastern Europe. A very ordinary box shaped vehicle with four seats. Has no fixed armaments of any kind. The Eurovan only appears in single player mode.
Tech Pickup The battered old pickup is the terrorist vehicle of choice, but once you get rid of the occupants you can commandeer it for your own use. It may not be the sturdiest ride you've ever seen, but the mounted turret can cause considerable damage in the right hands.
Tech SUV A four wheel drive sport utility vehicle designed for off-road travel, with the general shape of a station wagon. Looks a lot like a pickup, but is sturdier and therefore withstand more punishment.
